Spanish sport newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona is looking into possible players to support Dani Alves when coach Luis Enrique doesn’t trust Martin Montoya and Douglas

Barcelona is still under the transfer ban, but there is a possible loophole that can be exploited, the ability to sign free agents or players that are currently in the same division.

LFP regulations allow for an emergency transfer in case of an important injury of a team player and Thomas Vermaelen still suffering from a long-term injury will open a window for new recruits.

Nyom is currently playing at Granada, loaned from Udinese has been proposed with a fee of €5 million. The physical ability of the player will be really valuable for The Catalans.

Pereira has been rumored to leave Valencia and Barcelona is keeping an eye on the situations as Mundo Deportivo claim.

Montoya will most likely leave Camp Nou during the winter transfer window after been benched for the last matches and not being able to play and Douglas has appeared on few occasions since he moved from Sao Paulo.

For now, Alve’s back-up has been Adriano, playing as a left-back, but he will be more comfortable in his natural position on the right side. Alves is also in the last year as Blaugrana and Pereira nor Nyom are long term solutions to replace the Brazillian.

Adriano, usually a left-back, has been Alves’ back-up, and MD note that Adriano is naturally more comfortable on his right side than his left.

Alves is also in his final year at Barca and it’s acknowledged that neither Pereira nor Nyom are long-term solutions to replacing the Brazilian.
